Jacky is an Assistant Professor in Cybersecurity and Computer Networks at Reykjavik University. She has been working with computers since the 1980´s in many different roles, including development, design and management. She received her Ph.D. from MIT in 2006, with a thesis on distributed camera robotics. Safa is an ambitious tech and consumer product entrepreneur. She is an expert in applied emerging tech and founded Víkonnekt, a software and product development firm whose services help startup and scale up companies bring their software-based products and services to market faster through scalable development services, due diligence, and technical team augmentation. Safa is an inspirational young leader who serves on the board of, and mentors, several startups and entrepreneurs. She is the winner of Nordic Women in Tech Awards 2023 for the Rising Star category. Safa has studied computer science in Tunisia since the age of 16 and since earned a software engineering degree from the University of Iceland.
